urn:lj:livejournal.com:atom1:aurias Caelus Patricus Iordani Caelus Patricus Iordani 2006-05-07T23:39:47Z urn:lj:livejournal.com:atom1:aurias:497 2006-05-07T23:39:47Z 2006-05-07T23:39:47Z Rush - 2112 Accipio, comes!<br /><br />Alright, I'm done with Latin so you know what i'm saying.<br /><br />After almost having this journal thing a whole year, I finally decided to actually try to work on it, and understand it. <br /><br />Recently, in FFXI, i've realized decided that frankly, I talk way too much than I do in real life, and I probably boarder on obnoxious more than I'd like to be. While I never have that personal ego of how great of a red mage I am or whatnot, I do tend to get a little headstrong about other topics. Verily, it seems that bringing my rants here is a wiser idea than annoying people with my morality or my thoughts, so, heres a start:<br /><br />I don't have the best gear or anything by far, but unless Nakuto is pulling(aiee), or we have Monks(I prefer MP quicksand) stealing hate, I do a pretty well job of well, playing my job. Frankly, in my opinion i'm a much better healer than anything, but i dont like /healing on White Mage, and Red Mage in most situations, in my experiance, a better slot in a 'burn' party than a White Mage, due to self refresh and convert, lesser spell timers, and the ability to help the bard out sleeping, etcetera in sticky situations(Nakuto gets mad if i sleep though 'You're screwing up MY timers!!')<br /><br />I love being tank party Red Mage, because Black Mage party is just seven macros in a row, and it's redundant and boring. Tank party, I have 1000+ mp in base Mp gear/Marron Glace before I macro that out for Enfeebling/Nuking/Enmity(Curing)/Melee gear, and a no hate Curaga/Cure II/Cure II from me, coupled with the small cures of White Mages and the III and IV of the Paladins is better than a white mage pulling hate spamming high level cures and getting themselves killed. <br /><br />Compared to our Red Mages with Duelist Chapeau, and Jwb with his maxed out enfeebling through Nashira and such, my +41 from Gear/Merits doesn't equal the consistency and length of their enfeebles, so it'd be kind of silly for me to basically weaken their enfeebles by building up a mobs resistance to it. By the way, this only applies to things like Wyrms and Ruaun gods, because my enfeebles are fine on anything like Limbus mobs, or anything; and really only to Blind and Slow, i try Poison II, Paralyze Dia/Bio II, Gravity if needed, etc.<br /><br />Why blind and slow? Parsed out, Ninjitsu Ni spells have a better effect on mob accuracy, as well as make them swing slower. And Tres, our usual Ninja tank likes to spam these two spells. So not even am I burned out by two Red Mages in shell on enfeebling on Wyrms, but by Ninja spells(not to mention elegy, but slow and elegy stack anyhow). So, I just gotta get Xarc access, and wait till Kalani(no one deserves it more!) gets Nashira pants till I can be on par.<br /><br />Since this is my first post, and I just got done turning over my fathers (HUGE) garden for 4 hours, I'm gonna take a shower, and hope my internet(on some random neighbors wireless atm) is back up so not only can I go on, but I dont have to hear my sister wanting to use my laptop(Because her desktop can't get wireless), and if its not, maybe hit up Kingdom Hearts II(Gotta beat the Hades Coliseum cup for my last Orichalum+ for Ultima Weapon), and maybe level up a bit to try to beat Sephiroth.<br /><br />Post Scriptum: Going out to dinner with Josephine this week! First time we hang out in almost a month :O<br />Shes been busy with her divorce for her 3 month marriage(told her so), and i've been winding down the semester, and since my last exam(Science-101) is tomorrow, we can hang out more often! Doesn't matter to me theres an 8 year difference in age, (shes 27 and i'm 19) I kind of prefer to talk to older women, more mature usually.
